A team consisting of technicians from the Directorate General of Employment (DGE) and the Coordination Unit of the National Qualifications System (UC-SNQ) went to the island of Sal to carry out a follow-up visit to training institutions.

The visit lasted three days, with the purpose of listening to the accredited training entities and learn about their training offers, as well as the difficulties faced in this pandemic period in the implementation of professional qualification and vocational training.

The technicians took the opportunity to visit the non-accredited training institutions on the island, in order to make them aware of the importance of accreditation and obtaining the license to continue in the market, as well as to guide them in the organization of the accreditation request process.

During the meeting with the training entities, the team disclosed the implementation process of the Recognition, Validation, and Certification of Professional Skills (RVCC-Pro) and the Professional Portfolio.

Note that in the coming days, the DGE team will proceed with the follow-up visit, covering the training institutions on the islands of São Vicente, Santo Antão, Fogo, Maio and Santiago
